Where do you want it to go?
The new mailboxes need to exist before we copy into them — we’ll check that on the next screen.

Will you keep your current email addresses?
This is the one answer we never guess — it decides how the whole migration runs.
Yes — same addresses, new provider kim@company.com stays kim@company.com. We mirror new mail into both places while you move your domain over, on your timeline. No — I’m moving to new addresses A straight copy from the old mailboxes into the new ones. Done when the copy is verified. A mix of both We’ll run it as a same-address switch-over, which covers both.
How many email addresses are you moving?
Sets your price and how long it takes. You can add or remove mailboxes before you pay.
Just 1 2–10 11–25 More than 25 We’ll plan this one with you.
Which mail should we move?
Leave both blank to move everything — that’s what most people want. A date range narrows every mailbox in this job.
What happens next
Connect — add each mailbox pair. We test every connection before going further.
Preflight & verify — we count what’s there, then actually move 3 real emails and show you they arrived. Free, no account, no card.
Pay — only once you’ve seen the proof. Priced by mailbox count.
Migrate — we copy the rest and reconcile every message. Nothing is deleted from your old mailbox.
Switch over — same-address moves only: we keep mirroring new mail until your domain is fully moved.
Continue to connect
Where is the mailbox you want backed up?
Vault backs up over IMAP — cPanel, Zoho, Fastmail, your own server, and most web hosts.
cPanel / web hosting Any IMAP mailbox. You’ll need the IMAP host and the mailbox password — an app password if your host requires one. Zoho Mail Connects over IMAP with an app password. Gmail / Google Workspace Vault doesn’t back this one up yet — it needs a sign-in we haven’t built for Vault. Tell us and we’ll email you the day it lands. Microsoft 365 / Outlook Vault doesn’t back this one up yet — it needs a sign-in we haven’t built for Vault. Tell us and we’ll email you the day it lands.
How often should we back it up?
Change it any time, per mailbox.
Every day Runs at 02:00 UTC. Only what changed since the last run is uploaded. Once a week Runs Sunday at 02:00 UTC.
How far back should we go?
Leave blank to back up the whole mailbox. You can also narrow by folder, sender or attachment size once you’re in.
What happens next
Create your account — Vault needs one, and we verify your email before the first backup runs. Backing up a mailbox to an unverified identity is a security risk.
Connect the mailbox — address, IMAP host and password. We test it before saving anything.
First backup — runs on the schedule you picked. Nothing is ever deleted from the mailbox.
Browse, restore, reclaim — search big attachments, restore a message or a whole snapshot, and clear space in the original mailbox once it’s safely in Vault.
